Cabot Wealth Management, Inc., seeks a Junior Wealth Advisor for its growing wealth management practice. Cabot is an independent, boutique wealth management firm located in Salem, Massachusetts. We currently manage over $630 million in discretionary assets. This unique position will be best suited for an individual who is comfortable combining the personal skills needed to develop new relationships with the technical skills needed to provide high level financial planning services to HNW clients.

A Junior Wealth Advisor at Cabot must understand the needs of each client and develop a plan appropriate for them. Compensation in the form of salary and bonus will be in line with experience. The role requires some limited travel within New England and occasional travel to other states to meet with clients. A successful candidate may be offered the opportunity to develop into a Senior Wealth Advisor role in the future.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Offer financial planning strategies and guidance to a group of existing Cabot clients
  • Build their own client base by offering Cabot’s investment management and financial planning services
  • Make proactive, business development calls to prospects and centers of influence
  • Present solutions to clients and prospects through face-to-face meetings
  • Respond to leads generated through our supplemental business development efforts
  • Support the wealth management team by utilizing financial planning software to help develop and implement financial plans


  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • CFP® designation or equivalent certification preferred
  • Series 65 required
  • Series 7 recommended
  • Must have demonstrated success in asset cultivation
  • 2+ years of proactive, successful sales and financial planning experience in the financial services industry, specifically dealing with clients with assets $250,000+
  • Must be an outstanding communicator and self-starter
  • Possess comprehensive wealth management industry and investment knowledge
  • Have the ability to present complex information in a way that enables clients to make informed investment decisions
  • Special consideration will be given to individuals with a book of business
