Jim oversees Cabot’s wealth management services division. His primary focus is helping clients develop an appropriate asset allocation strategy and working directly with those clients to guide them while monitoring and evaluating their strategy in light of their financial goals and needs. Jim leads Cabot’s team of trusted advisors and works closely with other members of the Cabot team. He also works with other professionals to provide clients with comprehensive wealth management services, including tax planning and preparation, estate planning, retirement planning, and risk management strategies. In addition to his client work, Jim is also a member of Cabot’s Investment Policy committee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire and has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Jim is also an active member of the Museum of Fine Arts.
Greg is a Certified Financial Planner® and a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist. He is responsible for providing financial planning and investment advisory services to clients of Cabot Wealth Management and also acts as the firm’s corporate retirement plan specialist. In addition, Greg is responsible for assisting individuals’ transition into retirement by providing cash flow analysis, asset allocation and tax minimization strategies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to joining Cabot, Greg worked at Putnam Investments. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Feoffees of the Grammar School Trust, a Trust created in 1660 to benefit the Ipswich Public Schools.
Matt is responsible for providing customized financial planning strategies for Cabot clients. As a wealth advisor, Matt has valuable experience in the financial services industry and with building strong client relationships. He is also well versed in following capital market trends, analysis and portfolio construction methodology. Prior to Cabot, Matt started his career at Brookwood Financial Partners, where he earned his Series 7 and 63 designations. He has previously held roles with Plymouth REIT and John Hancock Funds in Boston. In these roles, he serviced Registered Investment Advisors, Trust departments and high-net-worth individuals through the United States. Matt has also worked for RSA, the cybersecurity division of EMC. Matt has earned his Series 65 and is currently pursuing his CFP designation. He is a graduate of Connecticut College and resides with his family in Hamilton.
Tom develops comprehensive and customized financial planning strategies for Cabot clients with a focus on tax, estate, and investment planning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Rochester. Prior to joining Cabot, Tom worked in the Private Banking group of JPMorgan. Tom is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner and is a member of the Massachusetts chapter of the Financial Planning Association. He is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Steve is responsible for tax preparation and planning services for clients of Cabot Wealth Management. His primary focus is assisting clients in making decisions that help achieve their overall financial goals and objectives while minimizing the tax consequences. Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Fitchburg State College and his Masters degree in taxation from Suffolk University. He is also a graduate of the National Tax Practice Institute, a training program administered by the National Association of Enrolled Agents, and is a member of both the Massachusetts and National Associations of Enrolled Agents. Steve has over 20 years of taxation experience with individuals and closely held businesses. Prior to joining Cabot, he worked in Boston as a senior tax manager for American Express Tax & Business Services, Inc., and a tax accountant for Nutter, McClennen & Fish, LLP.
Rick develops and analyzes solutions for clients related to their estate planning and estate tax issues and communicates directly with clients to optimize tax planning. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from SUNY Empire State College and his Masters degree in Taxation from Taft University. Prior to joining Cabot, Rick was the Assistant Vice President and Tax Officer at Cambridge Trust Company and has also held positions at Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge as well as Peabody & Arnold. Rick has over 30 years of taxation experience with a heavy emphasis on tax preparation for retirement and investment management accounts, trusts and estates, private foundations and individual and gift tax returns for high net-worth individuals.
Rob heads of the company’s Investment Policy Committee and manages Cabot’s Growth .He received his MBA degree in investments and finance from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and his bachelor of science degree in finance and management from Babson College. Rob has taken a strong interest in global research, particularly China and India, and emerging markets in general. Rob is a regular contributor on CNBC’s Power Lunch. He has also been quoted in leading publications, such as Barron’s, Bloomberg and Reuters. In addition to his business pursuits, Rob serves an active role in many community organizations, including Past President of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce, Trustee of the National YMCA Retirement Fund, Member of Salem State University’s Board of Trustees, and Chairman of the Salem State College Foundation.
Craig is portfolio manager of Cabot’s Growth & Income strategy, a diversified equity portfolio that aims for moderate risk by focusing on quality companies trading at discounted valuations. Craig joined Cabot in 2011 as an equity analyst responsible for finding, researching and monitoring investment ideas across sectors and geographies. Prior to Cabot, Craig spent 2 years at Gerson Lehrman Group managing primary research products for institutional investors, and 10 years at Putnam Investments in various positions, including equity analyst covering the media and telecommunications sectors. Craig holds a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University. He is a CFA Charterholder and member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. He volunteers teaching financial literacy at Year UP and Citizen Schools.
Nick is responsible for managing Cabot’s fixed-income portfolios. He has a strong understanding of the asset management industry, passion for financial markets and has demonstrated ability to master complex concepts and deliver high level performance. Nick previously worked for ICC Capital Management in Orlando, Florida, an institutional firm with over $500 million in assets under management. Nick obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration from Stetson University in Florida and now currently resides in Watertown, Massachusetts. He is currently a CFA Level III candidate.
MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Mikki oversees Cabot’s business development and marketing and is responsible for identifying new opportunities in all areas of business. She also maintains the firm’s marketing and communications while developing relationships to further strengthen Cabot’s new brand and increase visibility across the North Shore. Mikki brings nearly 15 years of marketing experience to the firm, having spent the first nine years of her career at Cabot [Money Management]. Prior to rejoining the Cabot team, she held key marketing positions at Cakes for Occasions and Associated Home Care, Inc. She graduated magna cum laude from Salem State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Mikki is an active volunteer within the community, serving on the boards of Northeast Arc, Salem State Alumni Association, Massachusetts PTA, Lynn Lions and as Chair for Lynn YMCA’s Branch Advisory Council.
Anne works as a liaison between our team of trusted advisors and Cabot clients. She has provided guidance and quality service to meet our clients’ needs and expectations for over 20 years. Anne has an extensive administrative background and her primary responsibility is to maintain and deliver the highest level of service to Cabot clients. She started her Cabot career as a receptionist and quickly found her niche as a Client Services Specialist. Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University and previously worked in the office supply industry.
Natalie works collaboratively with Cabot’s wealth advisors as a Client Services Specialist. She is responsible for providing high quality service, guidance and solutions to fulfill our clients’ needs. Natalie has a strong background in both client service and compliance within the financial services industry and is licensed with FINRA Series 7, 63, 9, and 10. Prior to joining Cabot, Natalie worked in Boston at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and LPL Financial. She is a graduate of Connecticut College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Sociology.
TRADING & OPERATIONS
Sonia is a principal of the firm and is responsible for managing trade executions as well as the firm’s overall operations and IT coordination. Sonia was first introduced to the team of professionals at Cabot Wealth Management when she became Cabot’s first scholarship award recipient. Sonia then went on to graduate from Bryant College with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and a minor in computer information systems. While in college, she was an intern at both Cabot Wealth Management and the Cabot Market Letter.
Craig’s primary focus is to effect the best trade executions while coordinating with the portfolio management team. His other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating in monitoring and evaluating best execution for Cabot clients, identifying and implementing system automation functions and working directly to support the Trading & Operations Manager as well as other members of the Cabot team. Prior to Cabot, he held positions at Putman Investments and State Street Corporation. Craig is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance Economics. He is active and enjoys hockey, golf, running and skiing for leisure.
Cathy is responsible for assisting both Marketing and Operations departments. Cathy assists in marketing research, customizing the marketing database, and the production of marketing materials. She also assists in event management and performs general day-to-day operational and clerical tasks. Cathy is knowledgeable in the areas of technology and graphic design, having received a certificate in Desktop Publishing/Graphics through an innovative computer concepts program at Salem State University.
Jill has been a key member of the Cabot team since 2008. Jill has held several roles, including Marketing Intern and Operations & Trading Associate. She has since transitioned into the role of Accounts Payable Receivable Controller, responsible for maintaining Cabot’s business allowances and assisting Cabot’s operations team. Jill graduated from Salem State University class of 2013 where she studied Business Administration with a concentration of Accounting and minors in Economics and Biology.
Linda is Cabot’s receptionist and assists with general office management. She greets clients and visitors, providing them with exceptional service. Her responsibilities include supporting staff in all aspects of day-to-day operations. Linda has over 20 years of extensive management, customer service, and administrative experience. She holds a degree in Business Management from North Shore Community College. Her enthusiasm and personable nature make her an integral part of our office operations.
